
The Western Australian Retirement Villages Residents Association was formed in 1991 to provide a voice for the residents of retirement villages in Western Australia.
We are the Government recognised peak body representing the rights and interests of all residents living in retirement Villages in WA. We also provide individual support to members. It is a non-profit, incorporated body without party political or religious affiliation, run by a Council of volunteers elected by its members.
In recent years the growth of retirement villages has been extraordinary and it has become apparent that the residents of retirement villages, and also prospective residents, need somewhere to go where they can obtain reliable information and assistance.

Our Council and Committee, provide direct resident-centred input to Government about proposed changes to policy relating to retirement communities.

Our Committee influences and advocates for changes to Government policy, and to industry positions, to advance and protect the rights and interests of all retirement community residents.
We conduct face-to-face and video presentations to keep Members informed on important topics, including community constitutions, resident committees, and changes to retirement community regulations.

Village Retirement WA (WARVRA), specialist advisors, assist and support individuals with issues concerning their community operator under the Retirement Communities Act 1999 or their residency contract.
